These forests get about 30-60 inches of rain a year, which is a healthy balance, so the ground is sometimes moist, but not always. The trees normally are on flat ground, but it can also be hilly. That just depends on where the forest is located. On the gound you will be able to see lichen, club mosses, and true mosses.
